Charleston Downtown Library Gallery.

The downtown Charleston Library has a public and free art gallery that shows a new, local artist every month. It's a really neat idea because they open up 12 slots every year for anybody in town to showcase their art - you just have to be chosen of course. The library seems to choose up and comers - and it's tempting to enter in next year for a chance to show my own art. Here was this month's artist.

I think the first painting is my favorite. She used resin and acrylic which I so want to try but first I need to learn how to use it. Resin gives paintings a three dimensional appearance because you layer paint on resin on paint, etc, etc.

There was a huge rainbow over the bridge last week - and about fifteen minutes later it started raining like crazy. I've seen some spectacular storms lately!
I am also working on something and maybe I'll show a little sneak peak this weekend!
