Painting #58: Path Less Traveled. (Preview #2.)

Well I really thought I was done with this painting on Sunday, and then I started changing it up again. It was going to be a summer picture with leaves on the trees, but I think I've changed my mind. Here's a few updated pictures. I'll be finished with this probably on Thursday or Friday.

Not sure why I always paint tree lined roads in Autumn. I'm sure a psychologist would tell me something meaningful about that. Honestly, I just think they are beautiful - especially the old oak lined roads here in Charleston.

These colors are super washed out because of the dark room I took the picture in.

So - I'm going to apologize for the quality of these pictures but I want to put something up to prove that I still actually paint. The sun has not shined in Charleston for days, so very poor picture quality here! I will try to take better ones tomorrow!

Here's the background of what I'm currently working on. I put the foreground trees in late last night, and will most likely be putting the finishing touches on this weekend. TO be continued.

Painting Life Update.

Yikes, it has been well over two months and I have yet to add a new painting of my own to my blog. But I promise you that will soon change. I probably have a few hours left on what I'm currently working on. I was inspired by a picture I took at Table Rock mountain where you can see miles and miles of mountains over this rock cliff.

I will definitely be adding pictures probably by the end of this week.

Also, I have lots of ideas running through my head and I'm excited to get back into painting again! I'm trying to be a bit more inspired by impressionism and post-impressionism.
