Palette Knife Mini Landscape.

It's always time for a palette knife painting when I start to feel like painting becomes a chore.

Happy New Years - with another sale

This painting is going to Connecticut!
I'm pretty humbled with all the paintings I've sold this year.

A Halloween Sale!

I think this is the perfect painting to sell right before Halloween - and this one is going just slightly up the road to North Carolina!

Super Quick Speed Painting.

I felt like doing a fast painting with not so much thought put in...this is about as abstract as I can get, I guess.

Revisiting an Old Idea.

I decided to redo a painting I wasn't thrilled with from last year to see if I could improve on it at all. The top one is my most recent attempt, the bottom is from 2014.

Daily Painting Challenge #16: Abstract.

Didn't have fun with this one. I like things to look like real things and make sense. I think I choose the subjects I like to paint because I want to capture some aspect of beauty or peacefulness or solitude. But it was good to break out of the mold and try something new.

Daily Painting Challenge #14: Stack of items.

"Stack of items" made me think of a haystack ...which then made me think of  Monet's Haystack painting.  So I painted that instead.

Daily Painting Challenge #13: Plein Air.

Plein Air is a French expression which means "in the open air" and is particularly used to describe the act of painting outdoors. I sat out and painted the trees in my backyard - bad weekend to do so at almost 90 degrees!

Daily Painting Challenge #9: Floral Still Life

This painting is super glossy so I can't get a great picture of it, but I think you get the idea.
