Painting #57: Standing at the Top. (Finished.)

So - I'm going to apologize for the quality of these pictures but I want to put something up to prove that I still actually paint. The sun has not shined in Charleston for days, so very poor picture quality here! I will try to take better ones tomorrow!

Standing at the Top. (Preview.)

Here's the background of what I'm currently working on. I put the foreground trees in late last night, and will most likely be putting the finishing touches on this weekend. TO be continued.

Painting Life Update.

Yikes, it has been well over two months and I have yet to add a new painting of my own to my blog. But I promise you that will soon change. I probably have a few hours left on what I'm currently working on. I was inspired by a picture I took at Table Rock mountain where you can see miles and miles of mountains over this rock cliff.

I will definitely be adding pictures probably by the end of this week.

Also, I have lots of ideas running through my head and I'm excited to get back into painting again! I'm trying to be a bit more inspired by impressionism and post-impressionism.

Here's what I'm looking at on Etsy:

Nature photography, Lanscape photography, Home decor, Spring, Wall decor, Fine Art Photography, Floral art, Green decor, 6x6(15x15 cm)Nature Photography, Surreal Starry Gothic Trees Nature, Blue Spooky Tree Limbs, Fantasy Blue Stars Sky Photo 8" x 12"Fox

Post-Impressionism.

If I could learn to paint like this, my life would seriously be complete.

Spring Cleaning.

I promise I haven't forgotten this blog, and I am still currently working on that painting from last month! Between work, trying to read more again, and the weather being really nice - I haven't had as much time to sit down and paint. But believe me - I'm always thinking about new things to paint and new painting techniques to try.

One thing I'm going to try to do is paint on smaller canvases - less time, paint, money - and I can try new things with out feeling like I wasted a lot of energy.

Here's some inspiration I've been looking at: I've definitely been thinking about painting trees again.
